RE-PIERING SERVICES

We hear this all the time but nothing could be further from the truth. Cracked walls, ceilings and floors, doors and windows that don’t open or close properly, furniture that rattles and won’t sit straight are signs of damaged or subsided house piers (or stumps as they are often called) resulting in floor lines that are not level.

The good news is that repair or replacement of piers and floor relevelling not only solves the problem but is LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE REPLASTERING, RECONCRETING, BRICKLAYING AND PAINTING THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BE REQUIRED. Piers may be made of sandstone, concrete, brick or even galvanised steel. Problems with underpinning or footings are more serious but can still easily be dealt with by Built2Last.

If foundations and piers are okay, re-level the house by jacking up the floor and packing the piers. Replace existing isolated problem piers.
